Theora is Xiph.Org's first publicly released video codec, intended for use within the Ogg's project's Ogg multimedia streaming system. Theora is derived directly from On2's VP3 codec; Currently the two are nearly identical, varying only in encapsulating decoder tables in the bitstream headers, but Theora will make use of this extra freedom in the future to improve over what is possible with VP3.

Control the libtheora package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install libtheora
This command will install libtheora on the server.
yum remove libtheora
This command will un-install libtheora on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove libtheora, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove libtheora
This command will un-install libtheora on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove libtheora when using the -y flag.
yum update libtheora
This command will update libtheora to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove libtheora, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
