Satyr is a library that can be used to create and process microreports. Microreports consist of structured data suitable to be analyzed in a fully automated manner, though they do not necessarily contain sufficient information to fix the underlying problem. Included is a tool that can create microreports and perform some basic operations on them.

Handy Yum Commands for satyr


Control the satyr package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install satyr

This command will install satyr on the server.

yum remove satyr

This command will un-install satyr on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove satyr, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove satyr

This command will un-install satyr on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove satyr when using the -y flag.

yum update satyr

This command will update satyr to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove satyr, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update satyr
