T1lib is a rasterizer library for Adobe Type 1 Fonts. It supports rotation and transformation, kerning underlining and antialiasing. It does not depend on X11, but does provides some special functions for X11. AFM-files can be generated from Type 1 font files and font subsetting is possible.

Handy Yum Commands for t1lib


Control the t1lib package with the following handy commands outlined below.

Description of Command

yum install t1lib

This command will install t1lib on the server.

yum remove t1lib

This command will un-install t1lib on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove t1lib, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove t1lib

This command will un-install t1lib on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove t1lib when using the -y flag.

yum update t1lib

This command will update t1lib to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove t1lib, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update t1lib

This command will update t1lib to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove t1lib when using the -y flag.

yum info t1lib

This command will show you core information about the t1lib package.

yum deplist t1lib

This command will show you the dependencies for t1lib. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.

yum check-update t1lib

This command will check if there is an update waiting on t1lib. When you run this command this will return nothing if there is nothing to update, or, will return the package name if the package is due to be updated.
