TagSoup is a SAX-compliant parser written in Java that, instead of parsing well-formed or valid XML, parses HTML as it is found in the wild: nasty and brutish, though quite often far from short. By providing a SAX interface, it allows standard XML tools to be applied to even the worst HTML.

Handy Yum Commands for tagsoup


Control the tagsoup package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install tagsoup

This command will install tagsoup on the server.

yum remove tagsoup

This command will un-install tagsoup on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove tagsoup, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove tagsoup

This command will un-install tagsoup on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove tagsoup when using the -y flag.

yum update tagsoup

This command will update tagsoup to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove tagsoup, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
