Description:

This provides the DTDs of the Second Edition of XHTML 1.0, a reformulation of HTML 4 as an XML 1.0 application, and three DTDs corresponding to the ones defined by HTML 4. The semantics of the elements and their attributes are defined in the W3C Recommendation for HTML 4. These semantics provide the foundation for future extensibility of XHTML.

Handy Yum Commands for xhtml1-dtds


Control the xhtml1-dtds package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install xhtml1-dtds

This command will install xhtml1-dtds on the server.

yum remove xhtml1-dtds

This command will un-install xhtml1-dtds on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove xhtml1-dtds, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove xhtml1-dtds

This command will un-install xhtml1-dtds on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove xhtml1-dtds when using the -y flag.

yum update xhtml1-dtds

This command will update xhtml1-dtds to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove xhtml1-dtds, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update xhtml1-dtds

This command will update xhtml1-dtds to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove xhtml1-dtds when using the -y flag.

This command will show you core information about the xhtml1-dtds package.
