Description:

CBFlib (Crystallographic Binary File library) is a library of ANSI-C functions providing a simple mechanism for accessing Crystallographic Binary Files (CBF files) and Image-supporting CIF (imgCIF) files. The CBFlib API is loosely based on the CIFPARSE API for mmCIF files. Like CIFPARSE, CBFlib does not perform any semantic integrity checks; rather it simply provides functions to create, read, modify and write CBF binary data files and imgCIF ASCII data files.

Handy Yum Commands for CBFlib


Control the CBFlib package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install CBFlib

This command will install CBFlib on the server.

yum remove CBFlib

This command will un-install CBFlib on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove CBFlib, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove CBFlib

This command will un-install CBFlib on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove CBFlib when using the -y flag.

yum update CBFlib

This command will update CBFlib to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove CBFlib, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update CBFlib

This command will update CBFlib to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove CBFlib when using the -y flag.

yum info CBFlib

This command will show you core information about the CBFlib package.

yum deplist CBFlib

This command will show you the dependencies for CBFlib. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.

yum check-update CBFlib

This command will check if there is an update waiting on CBFlib. When you run this command this will return nothing if there is nothing to update, or, will return the package name if the package is due to be updated.
