Description:

aespipe is an encryption tool that reads from standard input and writes to standard output. It uses the AES (Rijndael) cipher. It can be used as an encryption filter, to create and restore encrypted tar/cpio backup archives and to read/write and convert loop-AES compatible encrypted images. aespipe can be used for non-destructive in-place encryption of existing disk partitions for use with the loop-AES encrypted loop-back kernel module.

Handy Yum Commands for aespipe


Control the aespipe package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install aespipe

This command will install aespipe on the server.

yum remove aespipe

This command will un-install aespipe on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove aespipe, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove aespipe

This command will un-install aespipe on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove aespipe when using the -y flag.

yum update aespipe

This command will update aespipe to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove aespipe, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
