Description:

BibleSync is a multicast protocol to support Bible software shared co- navigation. It uses LAN multicast in either a personal/small team mutual navigation motif or in a classroom environment where there are Speakers plus the Audience. It provides a complete yet minimal public interface to support mode setting, setup for packet reception, transmit on local navigation, and handling of incoming packets. This library is not specific to any particular Bible software framework, completely agnostic as to structure of layers above BibleSync.

Handy Yum Commands for biblesync


Control the biblesync package with the following handy commands outlined below.


Command

Description of Command

yum install biblesync

This command will install biblesync on the server.

yum remove biblesync

This command will un-install biblesync on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove biblesync, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove biblesync

This command will un-install biblesync on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove biblesync when using the -y flag.

yum update biblesync

This command will update biblesync to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove biblesync, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update biblesync

This command will update biblesync to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove biblesync when using the -y flag.
