Description:

The goal of this module is to offer a simple queue system using the underlying file system for storage, security and to prevent race conditions via atomic operations. It focuses on simplicity, robustness and scalability. This module allows multiple concurrent readers and writers to interact with the same queue. A port of Perl module Directory::Queue and a Python dirq implementation of the same algorithm are available so readers and writers can be written in different programming languages.

Handy Yum Commands for java-dirq


Control the java-dirq package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install java-dirq

This command will install java-dirq on the server.

yum remove java-dirq

This command will un-install java-dirq on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove java-dirq, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove java-dirq

This command will un-install java-dirq on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove java-dirq when using the -y flag.

yum update java-dirq

This command will update java-dirq to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove java-dirq, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update java-dirq

This command will update java-dirq to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove java-dirq when using the -y flag.
