Description:

libfishsound provides a simple programming interface for decoding and encoding audio data using Xiph.Org codecs (FLAC, Speex and Vorbis). libfishsound by itself is designed to handle raw codec streams from a lower level layer such as UDP datagrams. When these codecs are used in files, they are commonly encapsulated in Ogg to produce Ogg FLAC, Speex and Ogg Vorbis files.

Handy Yum Commands for libfishsound


Control the libfishsound package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install libfishsound

This command will install libfishsound on the server.

yum remove libfishsound

This command will un-install libfishsound on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove libfishsound, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove libfishsound

This command will un-install libfishsound on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove libfishsound when using the -y flag.

yum update libfishsound

This command will update libfishsound to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove libfishsound, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update libfishsound
