Description:

ODB is an object-relational mapping (ORM) system for C++. It provides tools, APIs, and library support that allow you to persist C++ objects to a relational database (RDBMS) without having to deal with tables, columns, or SQL and without manually writing any of the mapping code. This package contains the Qt profile library. The Qt profile provides support for persisting Qt smart pointers, containers, and value types with the ODB system.

Handy Yum Commands for libodb-qt


Control the libodb-qt package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install libodb-qt

This command will install libodb-qt on the server.

yum remove libodb-qt

This command will un-install libodb-qt on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove libodb-qt, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove libodb-qt

This command will un-install libodb-qt on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove libodb-qt when using the -y flag.

yum update libodb-qt

This command will update libodb-qt to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove libodb-qt, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update libodb-qt
