Description:

Many software projects are mirrored worldwide. The mirror sites are required to update the mirror archive regularly (daily, weekly) from a root server. Mirmon helps administrators in keeping an eye on the mirror sites. In a concise graphic format, mirmon shows each site's status history of the last two weeks. It is easy to spot stale or dead mirrors.

Handy Yum Commands for mirmon


Control the mirmon package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install mirmon

This command will install mirmon on the server.

yum remove mirmon

This command will un-install mirmon on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove mirmon, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove mirmon

This command will un-install mirmon on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove mirmon when using the -y flag.

yum update mirmon

This command will update mirmon to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove mirmon, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update mirmon
