With apipkg you can control the exported namespace of a python package and greatly reduce the number of imports for your users. It is a small python module that works on virtually all Python versions, including CPython2.3 to Python3.1, Jython and PyPy. yum install python-apipkg
This command will install python-apipkg on the server.
yum remove python-apipkg
This command will un-install python-apipkg on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-apipkg, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove python-apipkg
This command will un-install python-apipkg on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove python-apipkg when using the -y flag.
yum update python-apipkg
This command will update python-apipkg to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-apipkg, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
