Silkscreen is a four member type family for your Web graphics created by Jason Kottke. Silkscreen is best used in places where extremely small graphical display type is needed. The primary use is for navigational items (nav bars, menus, etc), but it works well wherever small type is needed. In order to preserve the proper spacing and letterforms, Silkscreen should be used at 8pt. multiples (8pt., 16pt., 24pt., etc.) with anti-aliasing turned off.

Handy Yum Commands for silkscreen-fonts


Control the silkscreen-fonts package with the following handy commands outlined below.

This command will install silkscreen-fonts on the server.

yum remove silkscreen-fonts

This command will un-install silkscreen-fonts on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove silkscreen-fonts, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove silkscreen-fonts

This command will un-install silkscreen-fonts on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove silkscreen-fonts when using the -y flag.

yum update silkscreen-fonts

This command will update silkscreen-fonts to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove silkscreen-fonts, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
