Description:

A C preprocessor is a part of a C compiler responsible for macro replacement, conditional compilation and inclusion of header files. It is often found as a stand-alone program on Unix systems. ucpp is such a preprocessor; it is designed to be quick and light, but anyway fully compliant to the ISO standard 9899:1999, also known as C99. ucpp can be compiled as a stand-alone program, or linked to some other code; in the latter case, ucpp will output tokens, one at a time, on demand, as an integrated lexer.

Handy Yum Commands for ucpp


Control the ucpp package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install ucpp

This command will install ucpp on the server.

yum remove ucpp

This command will un-install ucpp on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove ucpp, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove ucpp

This command will un-install ucpp on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove ucpp when using the -y flag.

yum update ucpp

This command will update ucpp to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove ucpp, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update ucpp

This command will update ucpp to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove ucpp when using the -y flag.

yum info ucpp

This command will show you core information about the ucpp package.
