UnRTF is a command-line program written in C which converts documents in Rich Text Format (.rtf) to HTML, LaTeX, troff macros, and RTF itself. Converting to HTML, it supports a number of features of Rich Text Format: * Changes in the text's font, size, weight (bold), and slant (italic) * Underlines and strikethroughs * Partial support for text shadowing, outlining, embossing, or engraving * Capitalizations * Superscripts and subscripts * Expanded and condensed text * Changes in the foreground and background colors * Conversion of special characters to HTML entities

Handy Yum Commands for unrtf


Control the unrtf package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install unrtf

This command will install unrtf on the server.

yum remove unrtf

This command will un-install unrtf on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove unrtf, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove unrtf

This command will un-install unrtf on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove unrtf when using the -y flag.

yum update unrtf

This command will update unrtf to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove unrtf, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update unrtf
