WepLab is a tool designed to teach how WEP works, what different vulnerabilities it has, and how they can be used in practice to break a WEP protected wireless network. So far, WepLab is more than a Wep Key Cracker, it is a Wep Security Analyzer designed from an educational point of view. The author has tried to leave the source code as clear as possible, running away from optimizations that would obfuscate it.

Handy Yum Commands for weplab


Control the weplab package with the following handy commands outlined below.


Command

Description of Command

yum install weplab

This command will install weplab on the server.

yum remove weplab

This command will un-install weplab on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove weplab, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove weplab

This command will un-install weplab on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove weplab when using the -y flag.

yum update weplab

This command will update weplab to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove weplab, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update weplab

This command will update weplab to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove weplab when using the -y flag.

yum info weplab

This command will show you core information about the weplab package.

yum deplist weplab

This command will show you the dependencies for weplab. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.

yum check-update weplab

This command will check if there is an update waiting on weplab. When you run this command this will return nothing if there is nothing to update, or, will return the package name if the package is due to be updated.
