Half is a class that encapsulates the ilm 16-bit floating-point format. IlmThread is a thread abstraction library for use with OpenEXR and other software packages. Imath implements 2D and 3D vectors, 3x3 and 4x4 matrices, quaternions and other useful 2D and 3D math functions. Iex is an exception-handling library.

Handy Yum Commands for ilmbase


Control the ilmbase package with the following handy commands outlined below.


Command

Description of Command

yum install ilmbase

This command will install ilmbase on the server.

yum remove ilmbase

This command will un-install ilmbase on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove ilmbase, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove ilmbase

This command will un-install ilmbase on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove ilmbase when using the -y flag.

yum update ilmbase

This command will update ilmbase to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove ilmbase, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update ilmbase

This command will update ilmbase to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove ilmbase when using the -y flag.

yum info ilmbase

This command will show you core information about the ilmbase package.

yum deplist ilmbase

This command will show you the dependencies for ilmbase. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.
