This tool kit is used to measure battery life and performance under different workloads on Linux. Test can be used with various workloads to simulate different types of laptop usage. The following workloads are currently implemented: a) Idle workload - collect statistics only b) Reader workload - simulates text reading on laptop c) DVD playback workload - simulates laptop entertaining usage d) Office Activity workload - simulates laptop usage for different office activities (based on OpenOffice.org office suit)

Handy Yum Commands for bltk


Control the bltk package with the following handy commands outlined below.


Command

Description of Command

yum install bltk

This command will install bltk on the server.

yum remove bltk

This command will un-install bltk on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove bltk, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove bltk

This command will un-install bltk on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove bltk when using the -y flag.

yum update bltk

This command will update bltk to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove bltk, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update bltk

This command will update bltk to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove bltk when using the -y flag.

yum info bltk

This command will show you core information about the bltk package.
