The netpbm-progs package contains a group of scripts for manipulating the graphics files in formats which are supported by the netpbm libraries. For example, netpbm-progs includes the rasttopnm script, which will convert a Sun rasterfile into a portable anymap. Netpbm-progs contains many other scripts for converting from one graphics file format to another. If you need to use these conversion scripts, you should install netpbm-progs. You'll also need to install the netpbm package.

Control the netpbm-progs package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install netpbm-progs
This command will install netpbm-progs on the server.
yum remove netpbm-progs
This command will un-install netpbm-progs on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove netpbm-progs, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove netpbm-progs
This command will un-install netpbm-progs on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove netpbm-progs when using the -y flag.
