This perl module provides support for the https protocol under LWP, so that a LWP::UserAgent can make https GET & HEAD & POST requests. Please see perldoc LWP for more information on POST requests. The Crypt::SSLeay package contains Net::SSL, which is automatically loaded by LWP::Protocol::https on https requests, and provides the necessary SSL glue for that module to work.

Control the perl-Crypt-SSLeay package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install perl-Crypt-SSLeay
This command will install perl-Crypt-SSLeay on the server.
yum remove perl-Crypt-SSLeay
This command will un-install perl-Crypt-SSLeay on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Crypt-SSLeay, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove perl-Crypt-SSLeay
