XML::SAX consists of several framework classes for using and building Perl SAX2 XML parsers, filters, and drivers. It is designed around the need to be able to "plug in" different SAX parsers to an application without requiring programmer intervention. Those of you familiar with the DBI will be right at home. Some of the designs come from the Java JAXP specification (SAX part), only without the javaness.

Handy Yum Commands for perl-XML-SAX


Control the perl-XML-SAX package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install perl-XML-SAX

This command will install perl-XML-SAX on the server.

yum remove perl-XML-SAX

This command will un-install perl-XML-SAX on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-XML-SAX, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove perl-XML-SAX

This command will un-install perl-XML-SAX on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-XML-SAX when using the -y flag.

yum update perl-XML-SAX

This command will update perl-XML-SAX to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-XML-SAX, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update perl-XML-SAX

This command will update perl-XML-SAX to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-XML-SAX when using the -y flag.

yum info perl-XML-SAX

This command will show you core information about the perl-XML-SAX package.

yum deplist perl-XML-SAX
