Description:

simplejson is a simple, fast, complete, correct and extensible JSON <http://json.org> encoder and decoder for Python 2.4+. It has no external dependencies. simplejson was formerly known as simple_json, but changed its name to comply with PEP 8 module naming guidelines. The encoder may be subclassed to provide serialization in any kind of situation, without any special support by the objects to be serialized (somewhat like pickle). The decoder can handle incoming JSON strings of any specified encoding (UTF-8 by default).

Handy Yum Commands for python-simplejson


Control the python-simplejson package with the following handy commands outlined below.


Command

yum install python-simplejson

This command will install python-simplejson on the server.

yum remove python-simplejson

This command will un-install python-simplejson on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-simplejson, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove python-simplejson

This command will un-install python-simplejson on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove python-simplejson when using the -y flag.

yum update python-simplejson

This command will update python-simplejson to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-simplejson, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update python-simplejson
