Description:
The Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) is normally used only for booting diskless workstations. The tftp-server package provides the server for TFTP, which allows users to transfer files to and from a remote machine. TFTP provides very little security, and should not be enabled unless it is expressly needed. The TFTP server is run from /etc/xinetd.d/tftp, and is disabled by default.

Control the tftp-server package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install tftp-server
This command will install tftp-server on the server.
yum remove tftp-server
This command will un-install tftp-server on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove tftp-server, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove tftp-server
This command will un-install tftp-server on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove tftp-server when using the -y flag.
