This package provides libvolume_key, a library for manipulating storage volume encryption keys and storing them separately from volumes. The main goal of the software is to allow restoring access to an encrypted hard drive if the primary user forgets the passphrase. The encryption key back up can also be useful for extracting data after a hardware or software failure that corrupts the header of the encrypted volume, or to access the company data after an employee leaves abruptly.

Control the volume_key-libs package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install volume_key-libs
This command will install volume_key-libs on the server.
yum remove volume_key-libs
This command will un-install volume_key-libs on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove volume_key-libs, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove volume_key-libs
This command will un-install volume_key-libs on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove volume_key-libs when using the -y flag.
