AA-lib is a low level gfx library just as many other libraries are. The main difference is that AA-lib does not require graphics device. In fact, there is no graphical output possible. AA-lib replaces those old-fashioned output methods with a powerful ASCII art renderer. The API is designed to be similar to other graphics libraries.

Handy Yum Commands for aalib


Control the aalib package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install aalib

This command will install aalib on the server.

yum remove aalib

This command will un-install aalib on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove aalib, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove aalib

This command will un-install aalib on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove aalib when using the -y flag.

yum update aalib

This command will update aalib to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove aalib, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update aalib

This command will show you core information about the aalib package.
