Description:
bsdiff and bspatch are tools for building and applying patches to binary files. By using suffix sorting (specifically, Larsson and Sadakane's qsufsort) and taking advantage of how executable files change, bsdiff routinely produces binary patches 50-80% smaller than those produced by Xdelta, and 15% smaller than those produced by .RTPatch.

Control the bsdiff package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install bsdiff
This command will install bsdiff on the server.
yum remove bsdiff
This command will un-install bsdiff on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove bsdiff, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove bsdiff
This command will un-install bsdiff on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove bsdiff when using the -y flag.
yum update bsdiff
This command will update bsdiff to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove bsdiff, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y update bsdiff
