Backup and Migrate simplifies the task of backing up and restoring your Drupal database or copying your database from one Drupal site to another. It supports gzip, bzip and zip compression as well as automatic scheduled backups. With Backup and Migrate you can dump some or all of your database tables to a file download or save to a file on the server, and to restore from an uploaded or previously saved database dump. You can chose which tables and what data to backup and cache data is excluded by default.

Handy Yum Commands for drupal6-backup_migrate


Control the drupal6-backup_migrate package with the following handy commands outlined below.

This command will install drupal6-backup_migrate on the server.

yum remove drupal6-backup_migrate

This command will un-install drupal6-backup_migrate on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove drupal6-backup_migrate, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove drupal6-backup_migrate

This command will un-install drupal6-backup_migrate on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove drupal6-backup_migrate when using the -y flag.

yum update drupal6-backup_migrate

This command will update drupal6-backup_migrate to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove drupal6-backup_migrate, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
