Description:

dvisvgm is a command line utility that converts DVI files, as created by TeX/LaTeX, to the XML-based scalable vector graphics format SVG. It supports standard DVI files (format 2) as well as DVI output created by pTeX in vertical mode (format 3), and XeTeX (format 5, also known as XDV). Besides the basic DVI command set, dvisvgm also supports various special sets, like color, hyperref, PostScript and TPIC. Furthermore, dvisvgm offers an option to convert EPS files to SVG too. Handy Yum Commands for dvisvgm


Control the dvisvgm package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install dvisvgm

This command will install dvisvgm on the server.

yum remove dvisvgm

This command will un-install dvisvgm on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove dvisvgm, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove dvisvgm

This command will un-install dvisvgm on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove dvisvgm when using the -y flag.

yum update dvisvgm

This command will update dvisvgm to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove dvisvgm, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update dvisvgm

This command will update dvisvgm to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove dvisvgm when using the -y flag.

yum info dvisvgm

This command will show you core information about the dvisvgm package.

yum deplist dvisvgm

This command will show you the dependencies for dvisvgm. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.

yum check-update dvisvgm

This command will check if there is an update waiting on dvisvgm. When you run this command this will return nothing if there is nothing to update, or, will return the package name if the package is due to be updated.
