extundelete is a utility that can recover deleted files from an ext3 or ext4 partition. extundelete uses the information stored in the partition's journal to attempt to recover a file that has been deleted from the partition. Handy Yum Commands for extundelete


Control the extundelete package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install extundelete

This command will install extundelete on the server.

yum remove extundelete

This command will un-install extundelete on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove extundelete, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
