GLE (Graphics Layout Engine) is a high-quality graphics package for scientists, combining a user-friendly scripting language with a full range of facilities for producing publication-quality graphs, diagrams, posters and slides. GLE provides LaTeX quality fonts together with a flexible graphics module which allows the user to specify any feature of a graph. Complex pictures can be drawn with user-defined subroutines and simple looping structures. Current output formats include EPS, PS, PDF, JPEG, and PNG. This package contains the user documentation.

Handy Yum Commands for gle-doc


Control the gle-doc package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install gle-doc

This command will install gle-doc on the server.

yum remove gle-doc

This command will un-install gle-doc on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove gle-doc, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove gle-doc

This command will un-install gle-doc on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove gle-doc when using the -y flag.

yum update gle-doc

This command will update gle-doc to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove gle-doc, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update gle-doc

This command will update gle-doc to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove gle-doc when using the -y flag.
