Golly is an open source application for exploring Conway's Game of Life and other cellular automata. Golly supports unbounded universes with up to 256 states. Golly supports multiple algorithms, including Bill Gosper's super fast hashlife algorithm. Control the golly package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install golly
This command will install golly on the server.
yum remove golly
This command will un-install golly on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove golly, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove golly
This command will un-install golly on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove golly when using the -y flag.
yum update golly
This command will update golly to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove golly, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y update golly
