Description:

HTMLDOC converts HTML source files into indexed HTML, PostScript, or Portable Document Format (PDF) files that can be viewed online or printed. With no options a HTML document is produced on stdout. The second form of HTMLDOC reads HTML source from stdin, which allows you to use HTMLDOC as a filter. The third form of HTMLDOC launches a graphical interface that allows you to change options and generate documents interactively.

Handy Yum Commands for htmldoc


Control the htmldoc package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install htmldoc

This command will install htmldoc on the server.

yum remove htmldoc

This command will un-install htmldoc on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove htmldoc, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove htmldoc

This command will un-install htmldoc on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove htmldoc when using the -y flag.

yum update htmldoc

This command will update htmldoc to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove htmldoc, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update htmldoc

This command will update htmldoc to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove htmldoc when using the -y flag.

This command will show you core information about the htmldoc package.
