Description:

This package contains mod_autoindex_mb, the Apache module which represents the core of MirrorBrain. This package contains mod_autoindex_mb, which is a patched mod_autoindex. It adds a little further capability as index option. It adds these two options: <IfModule mod_autoindex_mb.c> IndexOptions Metalink IndexOptions Mirrorlist </IfModule> The Metalink option adds a link named "Metalink" to the index, which links to the same file but with ".metalink" appended. The MirrorList option adds a link named "Mirrors" to the index, which links to the same resources but with "?mirrorlist" appended.

Handy Yum Commands for mod_autoindex_mb


Control the mod_autoindex_mb package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install mod_autoindex_mb

This command will install mod_autoindex_mb on the server.

yum remove mod_autoindex_mb

This command will un-install mod_autoindex_mb on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove mod_autoindex_mb, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove mod_autoindex_mb

This command will un-install mod_autoindex_mb on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove mod_autoindex_mb when using the -y flag.

yum update mod_autoindex_mb

This command will update mod_autoindex_mb to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove mod_autoindex_mb, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update mod_autoindex_mb

This command will update mod_autoindex_mb to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove mod_autoindex_mb when using the -y flag.

yum info mod_autoindex_mb

This command will show you core information about the mod_autoindex_mb package.

yum deplist mod_autoindex_mb

This command will show you the dependencies for mod_autoindex_mb. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.
