OfflineIMAP is a tool to simplify your e-mail reading. With OfflineIMAP, you can read the same mailbox from multiple computers. You get a current copy of your messages on each computer, and changes you make one place will be visible on all other systems. For instance, you can delete a message on your home computer, and it will appear deleted on your work computer as well. OfflineIMAP is also useful if you want to use a mail reader that does not have IMAP support, has poor IMAP support, or does not provide disconnected operation.

Control the offlineimap package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install offlineimap
This command will install offlineimap on the server.
yum remove offlineimap
This command will un-install offlineimap on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove offlineimap, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove offlineimap
This command will un-install offlineimap on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove offlineimap when using the -y flag.
yum update offlineimap
This command will update offlineimap to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove offlineimap, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y update offlineimap
