Description:

This is Crypt::CBC, a Perl-only implementation of the cryptographic cipher block chaining mode (CBC). In combination with a block cipher such as Crypt::DES or Crypt::IDEA, you can encrypt and decrypt messages of arbitrarily long length. The encrypted messages are compatible with the encryption format used by SSLeay.

Description of Command

yum install perl-Crypt-CBC

This command will install perl-Crypt-CBC on the server.

yum remove perl-Crypt-CBC

This command will un-install perl-Crypt-CBC on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Crypt-CBC, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove perl-Crypt-CBC

This command will un-install perl-Crypt-CBC on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-Crypt-CBC when using the -y flag.

yum update perl-Crypt-CBC

This command will update perl-Crypt-CBC to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Crypt-CBC, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
