Description:

The Spreadsheet::WriteExcel module can be used to create a cross- platform Excel binary file. Multiple worksheets can be added to a workbook and formatting can be applied to cells. Text, numbers, formulas, hyperlinks and images can be written to the cells. The Excel file produced by this module is compatible with 97, 2000, 2002 and 2003. Generated files are also compatible with the spreadsheet applications Gnumeric and OpenOffice.org. This module cannot be used to read an Excel file. See Spreadsheet::ParseExcel or look at the main documentation for some suggestions. This module cannot be used to write to an existing Excel file.

Handy Yum Commands for perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel


Control the perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel package with the following handy commands outlined below.

This command will install perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel on the server.

yum remove perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel

This command will un-install perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel

This command will un-install perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel when using the -y flag.

yum update perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel

This command will update perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Spreadsheet-WriteExcel, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
