Description:

The POSIX standard provides three functions for converting between integer epoch values and 6-component "broken-down" time representations. localtime and gmtime convert an epoch into the 6 components of seconds, minutes, hours, day of month, month and year, in either local timezone or UTC. The mktime function converts a local broken-down time into an epoch value. However, POSIX does not provide a UTC version of this.

Handy Yum Commands for perl-Time-timegm


Control the perl-Time-timegm package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install perl-Time-timegm

This command will install perl-Time-timegm on the server.

yum remove perl-Time-timegm

This command will un-install perl-Time-timegm on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Time-timegm, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove perl-Time-timegm

This command will un-install perl-Time-timegm on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-Time-timegm when using the -y flag.

yum update perl-Time-timegm

This command will update perl-Time-timegm to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Time-timegm, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update perl-Time-timegm

This command will update perl-Time-timegm to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-Time-timegm when using the -y flag.
