Backport of Python 2.7's ``collections`` module for Python 2.6. ``Counter``, ``deque``, ``OrderedDict`` and ``namedtuple`` are backported. The rest of the members of the ``collections`` module are still exposed. Note though that some ``ABC`` classes are slighlty different (see known issues below).

Control the python-backport_collections package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install python-backport_collections
This command will install python-backport_collections on the server.
yum remove python-backport_collections
This command will un-install python-backport_collections on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-backport_collections, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove python-backport_collections
This command will un-install python-backport_collections on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove python-backport_collections when using the -y flag.
yum update python-backport_collections
This command will update python-backport_collections to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-backport_collections, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y update python-backport_collections
This command will update python-backport_collections to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove python-backport_collections when using the -y flag.
