Description:

The workerpool module for python 2 is a simple framework for easily distributing jobs into multiple worker threads. Examples of usage can be found in the unit tests and the samples provided. This module facilitates distributing simple operations into jobs that are sent to worker threads, maintained by a pool object. It consists of these components: * Jobs - single units of work that need to be performed. * Workers - workers grab jobs from a queue and run them. * Worker pool - keeps track of workers and the job queue.

Handy Yum Commands for python-workerpool


Control the python-workerpool package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install python-workerpool

This command will install python-workerpool on the server.

yum remove python-workerpool

This command will un-install python-workerpool on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-workerpool, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove python-workerpool

This command will un-install python-workerpool on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove python-workerpool when using the -y flag.

yum update python-workerpool

This command will update python-workerpool to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove python-workerpool, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update python-workerpool
