Description:

This package provides numeric types of twice the precision of IEEE double (106 mantissa bits, or approximately 32 decimal digits) and four times the precision of IEEE double (212 mantissa bits, or approximately 64 decimal digits). Due to features such as operator and function overloading, these facilities can be utilized with only minor modifications to conventional C++ and Fortran-90 programs. In addition to the basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, square root), common transcendental functions such as the exponential, logarithm, trigonometric and hyperbolic functions are also included.

Handy Yum Commands for qd


Control the qd package with the following handy commands outlined below.


Command

Description of Command

yum install qd

This command will install qd on the server.

yum remove qd

This command will un-install qd on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove qd, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove qd

This command will un-install qd on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove qd when using the -y flag.

yum update qd

This command will update qd to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove qd, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update qd

This command will update qd to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove qd when using the -y flag.

yum info qd

This command will show you core information about the qd package.
