A utility to aid in the creation of more secure "self-signed" certificates. The certificates created by this tool are generated in a way so as to create a CA certificate that can be safely imported into a client machine to trust the service certificate without needing to set up a full PKI environment and without exposing the machine to a risk of false signatures from the service certificate.

Handy Yum Commands for sscg


Control the sscg package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install sscg

This command will install sscg on the server.

yum remove sscg

This command will un-install sscg on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove sscg, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove sscg

This command will un-install sscg on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove sscg when using the -y flag.

yum update sscg

This command will update sscg to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove sscg, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
