SubNetCalc is an IPv4/IPv6 subnet address calculator. For given IPv4 or IPv6 address and netmask or prefix length, it calculates network address, broadcast address, maximum number of hosts and host address range. Control the subnetcalc package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install subnetcalc
This command will install subnetcalc on the server.
yum remove subnetcalc
This command will un-install subnetcalc on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove subnetcalc, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove subnetcalc
This command will un-install subnetcalc on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove subnetcalc when using the -y flag.
yum update subnetcalc
This command will update subnetcalc to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove subnetcalc, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
