Yasm is a complete rewrite of the NASM assembler under the "new" BSD License (some portions are under other licenses, see COPYING for details). It is designed from the ground up to allow for multiple assembler syntaxes to be supported (eg, NASM, TASM, GAS, etc.) in addition to multiple output object formats and even multiple instruction sets. Control the yasm-devel package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install yasm-devel
This command will install yasm-devel on the server.
yum remove yasm-devel
This command will un-install yasm-devel on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove yasm-devel, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove yasm-devel
This command will un-install yasm-devel on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove yasm-devel when using the -y flag.
