Description:

The zarafa-gateway package includes the Zarafa POP3/IMAP Gateway service to enable regular non-MAPI e-mail clients to connect through POP3 or IMAP to the Zarafa server to access their e-mails. Using IMAP, it is possible as well to view the contents of shared folders and subfolders. The Zarafa POP3/IMAP Gateway service can be configured to listen for POP3, POP3S, IMAP and/or IMAPS.

Handy Yum Commands for zarafa-gateway


Control the zarafa-gateway package with the following handy commands outlined below.

yum install zarafa-gateway

This command will install zarafa-gateway on the server.

yum remove zarafa-gateway

This command will un-install zarafa-gateway on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove zarafa-gateway, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove zarafa-gateway

This command will un-install zarafa-gateway on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove zarafa-gateway when using the -y flag.

yum update zarafa-gateway

This command will update zarafa-gateway to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove zarafa-gateway, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y update zarafa-gateway

This command will update zarafa-gateway to the latest version. When you run this command with the -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove zarafa-gateway when using the -y flag.

yum info zarafa-gateway

This command will show you core information about the zarafa-gateway package.

yum deplist zarafa-gateway

This command will show you the dependencies for zarafa-gateway. Thankfully, when using Yum, if dependencies are required, these are also installed at the same time so you don't have to worry too much about that.
