The gmp package contains GNU MP, a library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, signed integers operations, rational numbers and floating point numbers. GNU MP is designed for speed, for both small and very large operands. Control the gmp package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install gmp
This command will install gmp on the server.
yum remove gmp
This command will un-install gmp on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove gmp, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove gmp
This command will un-install gmp on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove gmp when using the -y flag.
