Compress::Raw::Bzip2 provides an interface to the in-memory compression/uncompression functions from the bzip2 compression library. Although the primary purpose for the existence of Compress::Raw::Bzip2 is for use by the IO::Compress::Bzip2 and IO::Compress::Bunzip2 modules, it can be used on its own for simple compression/uncompression tasks.

Description of Command

yum install perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2

This command will install perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2 on the server.

yum remove perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2

This command will un-install perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2 on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.

yum -y remove perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2

This command will un-install perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2 on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-Compress-Raw-Bzip2 when using the -y flag.
