The Time::HiRes module implements a Perl interface to the usleep, nanosleep, ualarm, gettimeofday, and setitimer/getitimer system calls, in other words, high resolution time and timers. See the "EXAMPLES" section below and the test scripts for usage; see your system documentation for the description of the underlying nanosleep or usleep, ualarm, gettimeofday, and setitimer/getitimer calls.

Control the perl-Time-HiRes package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install perl-Time-HiRes
This command will install perl-Time-HiRes on the server.
yum remove perl-Time-HiRes
This command will un-install perl-Time-HiRes on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Time-HiRes, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove perl-Time-HiRes
This command will un-install perl-Time-HiRes on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove perl-Time-HiRes when using the -y flag.
yum update perl-Time-HiRes
This command will update perl-Time-HiRes to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove perl-Time-HiRes, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
