Description:
Unbound is a validating, recursive, and caching DNS(SEC) resolver. The C implementation of Unbound is developed and maintained by NLnet Labs. It is based on ideas and algorithms taken from a java prototype developed by Verisign labs, Nominet, Kirei and ep.net. Unbound is designed as a set of modular components, so that also DNSSEC (secure DNS) validation and stub-resolvers (that do not run as a server, but are linked into an application) are easily possible.

Control the unbound package with the following handy commands outlined below.
yum install unbound
This command will install unbound on the server.
yum remove unbound
This command will un-install unbound on the server. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove unbound, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
yum -y remove unbound
This command will un-install unbound on the server. When you run this command with th e -y flag, you will not be prompted to check that you are sure you want to remove the package - so be sure you absolutely want to remove unbound when using the -y flag.
yum update unbound
This command will update unbound to the latest version. When you run this command, you will be asked if you are sure that you want to remove unbound, so you have to manually confirm that you want to do this.
